OpenSandbox 1.1.0 introduces unified versioning and new runtime features

The OpenSandbox project has released version 1.1.0, marking the first stable umbrella release that unifies server, SDKs, charts, CLI, and component images under a single version. This release introduces a Sigstore-signed Bill of Materials (BOM) for artifact integrity and includes significant changes such as the Fast Sandbox integration, PostgreSQL snapshot persistence, lifecycle hooks, and enhanced diagnostics APIs. Legacy tag namespaces are frozen, and users are encouraged to upgrade from previous per-component versions to this unified release. Breaking changes include the migration to agents.x-k8s.io/v1beta1 CRDs for the agent-sandbox provider and ingress, removal of the informer_enabled flag, and stricter lifecycle hook validation.

Operators should carefully review their existing configurations and dependencies before upgrading to OpenSandbox 1.1.0. The transition to unified versioning may impact workflows relying on legacy tag namespaces or configurations tied to older CRDs. Additionally, the removal of the informer_enabled flag means Kubernetes read paths now exclusively use the informer-backed cache, which could affect systems that previously relied on the beta flag.
