Azure VMs gain per-disk resiliency in public preview

Azure Updates has introduced a public preview feature called per-disk resiliency for Azure VMs, as stated in the project's official changelog. The default behavior ensures that if a VM loses access to an attached managed disk for an extended period, Azure automatically recovers the VM by shutting it down and powering it back on once disk connectivity is restored. This process requires no customer intervention.

Operators should verify how this default recovery mechanism interacts with their workloads, especially for applications sensitive to shutdowns or requiring manual intervention during restarts.
