Notifications with the expected upgrade date will be sent within two business days. However, instances with DNS misconfigurations or those using a deprecated Apigee Java Library, as detailed in prior release notes from October 16, 2025, will not be updated. Additionally, a new version, 1-18-0-apigee-5, has been released, with rollouts beginning on the same date and expected to take four or more business days to complete across all Google Cloud zones.

Operators should carefully review their Apigee configurations before upgrading. Specifically, they should verify DNS settings to avoid misconfigurations and check for usage of deprecated Java libraries that could block updates. Instances failing these checks will not receive the maintenance updates, potentially leaving them vulnerable to unresolved issues or missing out on new features and fixes.
